A RESIDENCE FOR ARTISTS

The château has been a residence for artists since 1929 in accordance with the wishes of Robert Laurent Vibert. Some 600 artists have stayed in the château since its restoration. 

They stay either in the château or in a charming old house nearby, La Collette, that has recently been restored.

The Foundation provides a weekly allowance to cover living and travel costs. There are various rooms where artists can work and pianists have 3 pianos at their disposition. (Steinway, Blütner, Erard). 

The Foundation is supported by the French Academy for the Arts, the Aix Academy for Arts and Science,the Region of Provence and the Department of the Vaucluse who sponsor some of our artists.
